Our story

A thrift girl’s case for making things properly.

Wear Naré began with a love for what older clothes got right: the weight, the shape, and the thought behind every detail.

“Intention over the bottom line.”

Naré Vardanyan has always been a thrift girl. Over time, that became a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship and intention in fashion from the 1970s through the 2000s.

She saw iconic labels trade thoughtful fabric blends for cheap synthetics, considered silhouettes for scalable shapes, and small-batch production for systems that too often exploit garment workers.

Wear Naré is her answer: period-aware silhouettes, substantial cotton basics, and ethical manufacturing—without sanding away the details that made the originals worth keeping.

Founded in San Diego. Available online, at Atlas Stores, and at Westfield UTC.

How we got here

Three beats, one label.

01

The thrift racks

Years of hunting secondhand taught Naré what older clothes got right: weight, shape, and detail.

02

The frustration

Iconic labels traded thoughtful fabrics for cheap synthetics and considered cuts for scalable shapes.

03

The answer

Period-aware silhouettes in substantial cotton, made ethically in small runs.

Wear the story.

Every piece is heavyweight cotton, cut from the shapes that started it all.
